Let this be a lesson to me… I lied!
It’s been a few weeks since I started this project and with my regular job, vacation and wife it’s been quite a battle to get to where I am.
Even with all the above priorities, just figuring out what to place on the website was a lot more difficult that I realized. I had already go through all the trials and tribulations of helping to build Medication Advisors that I thought I could put this site up quick and easy. I was wrong.
The first issue was that we have all this information that we have used over the last 2 years to make our lives easier – so how do we present this to you so that you can grab this information and run with it. Building the framework started in Microsoft Word (using the outline feature) but I quickly realized that this was not going to work. Even though Word is good (especially when writing quick summaries on each section), I ended up moving stuff around based on feedback and losing sight of the big picture. A change was needed.
If you have not heard of Mind Maps, then you are in for a treat – it is a great tool to allow you to build out ideas from a central point. Click here to see the full bITs mind map.
Mind Maps can be overwhelming so for this website I am also going to try and simply the approach for readers… I guide you through each section individually and try to “hide” the details until the very end. But don’t be fooled, at the end of the day, you will have everything that is incorporated in the mind map as part of your plan.
More updates later, but for now, it’s back to updating the details – watch the status on the home page and visit back soon or send comments on each page so that I can keep improving.
